The Emergency Department has undergone a recent refurbishment and has 36 main ED beds.  There are approx. 45,000 patient  visits per year. HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a Level II Trauma center, since May 2016. There is a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department with 10 beds. The Pediatric ED staffs board certified pediatric ER doctors and specialty trained nurses in pediatric emergency care and pediatric advanced life support.

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a Behavioral Health Receiving facility and within the Emergency Department there is a 6 bed Behavioral Intake facility. The adult inpatient center offers a multidisciplinary approach providing compassionate psychiatric and mental health care in a safe, private and healing environment.

There is 24 hour OBGYN coverage and an onsite Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Known for its Cardiac and Vascular Institute, HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a Certified Chest Pain Center with 24 hour PCI. Osceola Regional is also a Comprehensive Stroke Center, accredited by the AHCA.

The hospital’s oncology program has received accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer with commendations and Joint Commission disease specific certification in breast, colorectal and lung cancer.

The Joint Commission has also recognized the hospital as a top performer in key quality measures for the past 2 years and in 2014 Leapfrog Hospital Safety gave Osceola Regional an ‘A ‘grade rating.

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a teaching hospital with residencies also in Internal Medicine, OBGYN, Neurology, General Surgery, Psychiatry, and a Transitional year.
